A busy street in Galway with colourful flags strung above

What a day. I am falling asleep as I write this but don’t wanna forget. We got up at 9ish to leave for Galway - it was a 2.5 hour drive and we wanted to spend our time in Galway. So we hit the road, said bye to our host Siobhan who was very sweet and turned on the Stray Kids new album as you do of course. We tried to avoid the toll roads but ended up getting back on it anyways as it was faster and we were hungry. A fun trip of trying to figure out the signs again. When we got to Galway it was quite exciting to see the ocean!!! Galway’s an interesting costal city but European and a lil modern sometimes. Definitely more touristy than Dublin? But also has the fun Europe feel of going down a street and finding a hidden gem. We got brunch and it was delicious. Their coffee is from their own farm!! How incredible. Then we hit the streets. We found a nice wool sweater store and Damn the men’s sweaters were a close call. But we are travelling light. We kept wandering trying to find grum a postcard and looking for vintage stores. We ended up back in the area of our car and happened across a cool vintage store and YALL THE RINGS ARE ICONIC. Really well made silver and we each got one. I really debated bc a lil pricey but I’ve never seen a ring like it and it’s good quality. We explored the coast, went to some piers and saw some beaches. We were then en route to the next AirBNB but first stopped by a pub for quick dinner. Damn we got this lil nook for a table and the hostess felt bad but we were loving life. Then back on the road and what a drive!! We were going up the mountains!! One lil strip was quite curvy and we learned it’s bc they wanted to make work for people struggling, so they came up with this idea for a road. Something interesting is the mountains were … rocky and slates. Not like grass or trees. I wonder if people still hike?? Anyways didn’t realize we were in the MOUNTAINS for the Airbnb but we found it and damn she’s in middle of nowhere but super cute and small…

That’s about it!! Tomorrow we are doing early day for Cliffs of Moher which has been a dream of mine!!! So excited for that and then we are doing a cave/raptors experience?? Could be fun!! Big day!!!
