alrighty so good news is there are cows right outside the Airbnb!! And we found J and Grum!!!!
last night I got to Dublin an hour late bc the boarding passes for people worked 1/5 people which was nice!! We were one of the lucky ones. Also people really panic watching me try to pop my giant Cotopaxi bag in the overhead bins but we have made it 2/2 times!!
I waited for J for an hour and like a fool I forgot to make a welcome sign for her before hand. So I made on on the spot, not my best work but found her so I guess it worked. It was then time to find our rental car. the guy who gave it to us at the counter said he was living the dream but it really sounded like he wasn’t enjoying life. we took a bus to get the car and the driver was Latvian!! Which was very confusing considering I was expecting Irish and it was very different. But we celebrated the fact they beat the US in hockey!!! yay Latvia!!! When we got to the car rental place we were told to get the key out of a smol lockbox but surprise!! It was empty!!! So we had to go get it from the front desk person. It felt like we were on amazing race. we managed to pick up our cute lil Toyota car. J has been killing the left side but right side driving here!! Gotta admit tho, Ireland signage is very confusing on the streets. There’s so many arrows, lights in places hard to see, and everything is written on the ground so hard to see. But J is nailing it.
We made it to the Airbnb which is about 45 mins outside of Dublin and damn the Irish countryside is cute. Very green and very lush. Trees on both sides and it feels magical. So many cows!! And sheeps!!! It does sometimes feel like Canada but so nice.
AirBnB was good, cute and spacious. there are a few things that are confusing? Or unique I should say - doors are a lil hard to close, the shower needs a specific switch on for hot water and the front door we needed a demo but it’s her character.
We learned however that not many places serve food after 9, especially in the town nearby. One places doesn’t sell food on tuesdays, and a few places weren’t where they say they were but that’s okay, we found a place for Asian food bc we were starving and it was the only place open. That’s about it I passed out after dinner.
Then first Dublin day J and I got up early to run errands in Dublin before getting Grum from the airport. We dropped off Js necklace to get fixed, then got coffee!! Then got supplies to make Grum a welcome sign. We struggled finding paper so we bought binder separators in fun colours and called it a day. Each colour of Grum's name was in a different colour!! We fought to get in front of others so she would see it and we were very nervous for no reason. Found our girl and then it was time for breakfast bc we were starving. We found this cute place in Dublin for the reason that I saw a smoothie bowl on the menu and I was pumped. My body has been craving fruit. And loook how cute she is!!!! In a coconut!!!

[hi everyone these were written on the date above but i am working now on putting them into my site and DAMN i apologize for the lack of sense everything is making... but for honesty reasons i am not editing it!! so goodluck!!]
Our darling of a server wrote down all her suggestions for us on the trip, she was so kind and really gave us a lot to work with. We managed to find the one street with random free parking all day so wow luck of the Irish is real.
I got Grums life updates and then it was time for the Guinness tour!!!! No none of us are really Guinness or beer drinkers but damn everyone has said it was amazing. So we did it and it was interesting to hear about how to make it but there was a lot to read and I was a little overwhelmed. We did the tasting room and I drank Js lil thing of Guinness, and I gotta tell you I was basically at my Guinness limit at this point so the free pint to come was gonna be a lot. There was one couple that rang the bell and I wanted to but didn’t know what it meant. Neither did the guy working there a apparently, it was only his second day so :) shoutout to him if he ever reads this.
I really enjoyed the section on advertising and the old ad campaigns they had. Those were really cool. Also!!! I had no idea what "hops" was really so I was pumped to learn about that - what a precious plant. Grum and I decided cute names for two bunnies would be Malt and Hops. The room with the information about how everything was transported was also very cool with the little ship replicas.
we went upstairs and Grum and I got a HALF pint. Perfect sized for us and yes, it was a lot for us but we tried. Idk if it’s in my brain but definitely stronger here than Canada. We then helped grum steal her glass for a souvenir!!! Welcome to the life of crime Grum.
After that we journeyed to the popular area of Temple Bar, and wow yes very busy. I feel we haven’t seen a lot of tourists here except for at Guinness? We tried to find a Vintage store the girl at the cafe today recommended but it was closed an hour earlier than Google said so that was fun. We then decided on a Seafood place for dinner where I got fish and chips!! Very light batter 10/10!!!
We headed back to the Airbnb, showed Grum the lovely humble abode and then went to say hi to our neighbouring cows :) look how cute!!!!!!! Wow one even had a heart shape on their head!!

We also got to talk to this really sweet lady who is gardening the brick wall by the cows :) we talked about New Zealand bc she was wearing a hat from there!! Was exciting. I don’t think the cows enjoyed us being there bc they moved away so sorry cows.
Tomorrow we are moving and grooving so yay!! I should probably sleep. I also almost got hit by a bus but that’s okay.
